Marcia Almeida Mendes

Marcia is a storyteller and handles Decodis' outputs and oversees our media and communications projects. Her talents are a unique mixture of qualitative research, linguistics and communications. Before joining our team, she was a Fulbright Fellow at the Saab Center of Portuguese studies at UMass Lowell. She also spent three years at Hankuk University in South Korea as an Assistant Professor of Brazilian Studies. She has also worked in communications, marketing and outreach in Brazil and Guinea-Bissau, and served as an EdTech consultant for the United Nations training division on their flipped classroom solutions.

Marcia has a Master’s in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School (Tufts) and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics from the University of Brasilia. She is currently based in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
